Architecture and fashion united through creativity.
Fashion and architecture share a fundamental bond that goes beyond mere aesthetics. Both disciplines are rooted in creativity, innovation, and functionality. Architects and fashion designers alike draw inspiration from their surroundings, historical periods, and societal trends to create pieces that not only serve a purpose but also make a statement.
The fascinating thing about architecture and fashion united by the French house. In the latest Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2022 campaign, it has opted for a peculiar landscape. It is a church designed by the famous architect Le Corbusier. The work known as The Church of Saint-Pierre in Firminy, Le Corbusier's last failed project in the city, fits perfectly with the prestigious context of the architect's religious works, along with Ronchamp and La Tourette.

Virgil Abloh (the creative director of Louis Vuitton since 2015) already felt fascinated by the Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier. The essence of that architecture can be found in the men's collection, where volumes and robust forms predominate, representing that unique architecture.

If we talk about the Church itself, it has a square base, crowned by a hyperboloid cone at the top truncated diagonally towards the south, this causes sunlight to enter from the top. A simple geometry but with complex symbolism, archetypal forms that seek monumentality with contours full of symbolism of the area in which it is located. Images and plans from Plainepage.
