The architectural gem in the middle of nowhere.
Paradise in the middle of nowhere, this is this luxury resort, a project worth analyzing. Stars like Kylie Jenner, Hailey Bieber and Kanye West are some of the guests who have visited here and it is inevitable to ignore the call of this oasis full of luxury. Designed by architects Marwan Al-Sayed, Wendell Burnette and the Rick Joy studio. All of them specialized in “extraordinary” architecture, hence the subtlety of this project.

This international team captured the idea of an oasis without losing the essence of the place. Specifically, this project refers to the architecture of the native Indians who previously inhabited this place. An architecture that has known how to play with both materiality and textures in this extraordinary project. Located in Canyon Point (Utah).

The design of this exclusive 34-room refined hotel and spa contrast dramatically with the surrounding arid desert landscape. The jewel of the project is in the central pavilion of the complex that is built around the main pool, surrounded by a monumental abrupt rock. Inside the Pavilion are the Living Room, the Gallery, the Library, the Dining Room, the Private Dining Room and the Wine Cellar. Two side wings branch off from the Pavilion towards the desert: 16 suites are located within the Desert Wing and another 18 suites along with the Aman Spa are located in the other wing.

The materials used in the project resonate with the tones and textures of the landscape. While the exterior of the pavilions is defined by reinforced concrete walls with light earthy tones, left visible, and the local wood carpentry that recreates the gaps in the façade, the interior is dominated by local stone coatings. The whole is dotted with details painted in washed red tones, which evoke the ceremonial colors of the Navajo Indians.
